The shortest URL shortener… ever?
April 27th, 2009
I was reading a blog today and noticed they used a very weird, but enticing, URL shortening service called tinyarro.ws. I put this blog through it and ended up with http://›.ws/䪒 which is totally cool! I believe it works by taking advantage of asian characters and unicode support.
If you notice they also have developer support clearly displayed on their front page, this is also quite cool. The site is obviously targetted as, well, people like me!

Chris - With over 8 years experience developing web sites I have managed to create a number of successful, money making, sites and the good news is you can do it too, the bad news is to make it work you have to put in the effort! This blog will hopefully help you along your way!

Hey Chris, great blog.. figured I would stop by and see how things are coming along, great find on this url shortening service.
I see you are using the YARP plugin.. and that you updated it to the latest version lol.. I had the exact same thing happen to me, you need to open up the settings and follow the instructions for this upgrade, have to copy some template files to your themes directory and the two error messages at the end of each of your post will go away
Hey Jesse thanks for stopping by.
Haha you know, I hadn’t even noticed it had stopped working until you said! I just saw a shiny update button so pressed it and went about my business. I notice it seems to be working now simply from me pressing update on the options and refreshing the cache.
@Chris
oh, you are welcome lol.. I like how your threaded comments are set up here, i may have to “borrow” certain elements from it
I too have been caught by the “shiny button” from time to time, very easy to get sucked in lol.
To be honest I haven’t set it up, its part of the new wordpress install so I just clicked an option and bang its there! lol. Glad you like it anyway!
If a shiny button is in front of a man, he presses it, its a genetic flaw but one we all have to deal with haha
