Good to see you’ve hit some pretty damn impressive targets there man. Not everyone can say they’ve managed to grow a network of websites to the point of getting 1 million hits a month.

You didn’t mention in the article if the investment in the covers website has paid it self back yet, maybe in another post?

I was offered £125,000 for one of my sites last year, equivalent to about 5 years income from it. I turned it down on the basis that

1. It’s a solid niche and I’m sure I’ll still be making money from it in 15 years time

2. If it’s worth that much to them then I’m missing a trick.

So I re-evaluated how I make money from that site and now it makes much more. Sometimes just having the offer is a good thing

Welcome back slacker :-p

Sounds like you had a good time in Turkey, closest I have ever been to there was a few missions to the far northern parts of Iraq when I was deployed there a few years back. Northern Iraq was surprisingly calm and friendly, much different than the situation where I usually was while there. It was a nice break from everything to get to go up there for a few days, I think I will add Turkey to my list of places to go.

I know what you mean, when I moved I had to move 20 odd sites and the thought of moving to a non cPanel based host just made me shiver. I selectively chose not to host with non cPanel hosts!

Its not worth it!

Well, the worst part is when you have to move sites between not cpanel websites or if either your old or your new host is not cpanel based. Thats’ why I am always keen to get cpanel/whm based hosting…!!

I completely agree. I have some niche websites where one of them has made me an average alltime CPC of $0.04 and another which has made an average CPC of $1.28. As you said, if I had all that traffic on the 1st site on my 2nd site, I would probably be half way to be a millionaire .
